Televeda is studying Hero's Story, an online group for storytelling, listening, reflection, and connection. Researchers want to learn whether the group works well online. Trained peer facilitators lead the group. It is not therapy, counseling, or crisis care. You may speak, listen, reflect privately, or pass.
The study includes one private meeting before the program, eight weekly 60-minute group meetings, and one private meeting after the program. The total time is about 9 hours.
Veterans age 18 or older who are no longer serving in the military may qualify. You must be in the United States but not in California when taking part in study activities. VA enrollment is not required. You must be able to use Televeda's Virtual Talking Circles website in a supported web browser. Staff will check in private whether the study is a fit.
Taking part is your choice. You may skip questions or stop. Group members will be asked to protect privacy, but privacy in a group cannot be promised.
You will be paid for study activities you complete. You keep payments already earned if you stop. Payment does not depend on sharing a story or answering every question.
