She co-founded Televeda in 2018 to help community-based organizations across the country connect citizens with events, classes, and other wellness programs.Televeda, founded to improve social connectedness, has built a platform that not only offers virtual bingo, but also many other games and classes like art, writing, yoga and Tai Chi for those who are unable to leave their homes for any reason and are at risk for isolation and loneliness.
"Watching my grandfather struggle while dealing with chronic health conditions, I realized that loneliness is a big health issue affecting many people, especially older adults and those with disabilities. That's why I created Televeda: to reduce social isolation and bring people together.
Our platform helps organizations run events and activities that are accessible and engaging, so everyone has the chance to make connections and build relationships, wherever they are. Studies show that reducing loneliness improves overall physical, mental and social health, and that's why Televeda is making welcoming communities possible." -Shruti Gurudanti
