Funded by the Arizona Department of Health Services, the Arizona Health Improvement Plan (AzHIP) project partnered with Televeda to enhance mental health and well-being in rural and underserved communities across the state. Many residents in these areas face real barriers to traditional mental health care, along with social isolation, stigma, and gaps in digital literacy. Focusing on groups including Tribal communities and veterans, the AzHIP-Televeda project combines telehealth solutions, strategic partnerships, and targeted community engagement to bring support closer to home. This case study follows the project’s progress since February 2023, exploring its efforts, the obstacles it encountered, and the positive impact it has had on empowering rural Arizona communities.
